What is a Speech-Language Pathologist?

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holds a Masters degree and has earned the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). An SLP is able to evaluate, diagnose and treat individuals of all ages with speech, language and swallowing disorders.

Who benefits from speech and language therapy?

Speech and language therapy helps improve communication skills for people of all ages. Below is a list of common communication disorders and their characteristics which may indicate speech and language services.

I believe in a whole child approach and will work together with your child's school speech-language therapist, teacher(s), occupational/physical therapist, and pediatrician in order to provide the most effective services.
